USS Slater

We visited from Fulton County ARC on 7/21/22 and had a great guide(Andrew) who was extremely knowledgeable, every patient with our group of gentlemen and all their questions along with seeing that a couple of our guys where getting a bit antsy towards the end of the tour due to the heat so he sped up the tour a little without skipping any of the information and at the end came out of the gift shop with waters for everyone much to our supersize when I went inside to pay for the water Andrew had already done so. Thank you so much Andrew for the water and the Awesome tour. What a great young gentleman.

Impressive to be on this old destroyer, to imagine 212 crew living and working on there. It's in good restored shape. A lot of information is provided and there is time to ask all the questions you want. The tour took about an hour.

The Slater was a better trip than I thought it would be, not that I thought it would be bad but I didn't expect the kids to have a blowout of such fun! As a group sleeping over, the tour was informative but free time is where the kids get to use their imagination and roam the boat freely with their friends. The guys running the tours are fantastic, thank you for the great experience!

WWII Escort Destroyer. You get a guided tour of the ship and a history lesson on these sub hunters. Very cool. Brought my 10 year old son and his 9 year old buddy. They had a blast.
