Awesome space. Wasn't able to get food because concession closed early. Also, yall are going to have to do better than that small stage screen. No one can see what's on it!!! Other than that, it's a great place for sporting events, concerts, graduations and so much more!

Blue Cross Arena is a nice arena in the heart of Rochester. The arena has excellent sightlines and there are few if any bad seats in the house. The video board is very good and displays excellent graphics. Unlike most hockey arenas the video board is not directly over the center circle, rather over the blue line. The entrance lobby to the arena is also notable for its large glass windows where military flags are displayed. The fan atmosphere at the hockey games is great. Fans are respectful and knowledgeable about the team and game. The Americans are the second oldest team in the AHL after the Hershey Bears. Rochester knows its hockey very well. In its early years this arena was also home to the Rochester Royals NBA team which won a championship in the early 1950’s. There is a long history of great sports being played in this arena. Food prices at the arena are a little higher than most other AHL arenas. If you go to a Sabers game in Buffalo, the food prices are similar. Food offerings include Caraglio’s pizza, burgers, dogs, chicken fingers, and fries. Beer offerings are numerous and Genny beer is proudly offered at the arena. The ushers and staff at the arena were nice and helpful. The Amerks store in the entrance is spacious and offers much more team merchandise than other AHL arenas. The arena gets so many things right, but parking is not one of them. Parking for games is difficult. The line getting into the parking garage goes on for a long, long time. They have to figure out something here to cut down on the wait time for parking. Even with the parking issue, the Blue Cross Arena is a great place to enjoy a game.

This trip to the Blue Cross Arena was to celebrate WDKX's 50th Anniversary! This Gospel Concert included Kelontae Gavin, Zacardi Cortez, Kim Burrell, Shirley Caesar, Tye Tribbett, and other local Gospel singers. The evening was wonderful from start to finish. The customer service was impeccable! Starting with the friendly woman who took our $20 🤯 to park in the garage, the men who scanned our tickets and bags, and the man who showed us to our seats. Didn't mind that there was only one elevator working in the garage. All the attendees were polite and friendly! It was truly a "when all God's children get together" moments. What a time! All the singers were great and represented many subgenres of Gospel music. Pastor Shirley did not disappoint! She came off the stage and got singers in the audience to perform! I'm sharing pictures but wasn't close enough to get really good closeups, but you get the gist of it. Thank you, Andre and WDKX, for the tickets!

Great medium sized arena... there really isn't a bad seat because you're never far from the event with it being a smaller arena... the facility is well maintained and the staff are great. Food is on par if not better than the buffalo arena/bills stadium and there is even some nice views from the concessions areas. Parking at the garage with attached tunnel into the arena is always nice in the bad weather The only major con is some seating is a bit more cramped But overall it's a great concert venue and sports events have always been a great value here compared to buffalo

Great venue for a hockey game or concert. Lots of Rochester based food offerings. Only downside is the entrance is very tight so be sure you arrive early to see the start of your event.
