Gilbert Lake State Park

Had a wonderful time again at Gilbert Lake. There was a slight issue with our site, but the staff were quick to fix the situation. Shower house is always clean and well maintained. The waterfront has a great beach area and the playground is close by with a play area for little ones separate from the play area for older kids.

Very well maintained park. Nice the park staff puts on events in the summer. Love the swimming areas as it is sandy. Love that kayak rental is $10/hour, $15 for double. Also have stand up paddle board rental. Great spot to fish. Love the campground. Large sites in the Deer Run loop. Bathrooms in the campground very well kept and no bugs. Would love to visit again. However there is absolutely no cell reception. Campgrounds are dog friendly. Beach area is dog friendly on the grass only. No dogs allowed in the water or the sand. Dogs can go on the kayak rental though.

Amazing & well kept park, a fair amount of trails including one with gravel around the lake! Also a beach, concessions, etc.

Great place to take the family & have dome fun for the day. Bring your own food & drinks or enjoy the concession stand. Prices are very reasonable for both, entry to the State Park or the food. It was a very fun trip. Parking is a little weird as you have to park up above and walk a good distance down to the Lake Area.

Very nice hiking/biking trails. Separated sections for kayaking as well as swimming you have a floating dock jumped off of but not dive after the second set of buoys concession stand was a little bit pricier for the size of the portions. Publix grills are available upon first come first serve. They do offer rentals of cabins for about $600 a week plus you can do personal events like birthday parties weddings family gatherings and more using The pavilions you can also have a liquor license allowing you to have adult beverages in the park during your private event. They also offer shoreline fishing as well as on lake.
